The good pleasure of God’s goodness…

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Paul was praying for the Thessalonians that they would be counted worthy of God’s calling for them and that God would fulfill 2 things, 1. ALL the good pleasure of His goodness, and 2. the work of faith with power.

Be of good cheer today people, fully knowing that it is the good pleasure of God’s goodness to fulfill the work of faith with power in your life. When you step out and proclaim the Word of God in your situation today, despite the circumstances not necessarily lining up with that Word, you are acting in Faith. When you say sickness and disease IS gone, while your body is not yet healed, when you say financial provision IS here for me to use while the bills are not yet paid, when you say peace and joy IS here right now in my life as the whirlwind of fear, stress, worry, and fret blows around you, you are operating in Faith. You are operating in the the unseen and walking by faith not by sight. When you do this and act this way, KNOW deep in your heart and in your mind that it IS the good pleasure of God’s goodness to fulfill YOUR work of faith with power in that situation. Power to reconcile(2 Corinthians 5:18-19) the situation to be “on earth as it is in heaven”!

May you today, right now, be overcome with boldness and courage to speak forth the faith of Christ into your situation and expect the goodness of God’s power to come to bare on that situation, whatever it is, SO THAT, “the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him”!

Be blessed today

God has been speaking to me about receiving what he has for us. And believing that we’ve received it when we ask. A good sermon on that is. Podcast (And Ye shall have it, Part 2)
