Excuses to Abide
Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times…
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
It is not our own ingenuity. It doesn’t matter what it looks like. It doesn’t matter what it seems like. It does not matter what we can believe, or what we can know as natural or unnatural laws. What matters is that we accept by faith today, what the word says…….AND IT SAYS:
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1 John 2:14
I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom he did predestinate, he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us
Let us lay down all of our excuses and Just do it! Just begin to believe that you Abide IN Him and then just act as if that is true in all you think, say, and do. It is not pride to be presumptuous in this way, it is FAITH!
Yes, abiding IS simply THAT easy.
